Snowtech Services offers automatic payments to make renewing your services and domains easier. Automatic payments may be processed using a stored payment method or an active PayPal Subscription, depending on how your services were originally ordered.

How Automatic Payments Work

When an invoice is generated for a recurring service, domain name or other eligible product, the invoice will appear in your Client Area as normal.

If you have a valid default payment method stored on your account, our billing system may automatically attempt to collect payment on or after the invoice due date.

Once payment is successful:

  • The invoice will be marked as Paid.
  • A payment confirmation email will be sent.
  • Your service will continue without interruption.

Which Payment Method Will Be Used?

Automatic payments use the default payment method configured on your account.

You can review or change your default payment method via:

Billing > Payment Methods

What Happens If a Payment Fails?

If an automatic payment attempt is unsuccessful:

  • The invoice will remain unpaid.
  • You may receive a payment failure notification.
  • You can manually pay the invoice through the Client Area.
  • Additional payment attempts may occur depending on the payment method and billing system configuration.

Common reasons for failed payments include:

  • Expired credit card.
  • Insufficient funds.
  • Card replacement by your bank.
  • Bank security restrictions.
  • Incorrect or outdated payment details.

Keeping Your Payment Details Up To Date

To avoid service interruptions, we recommend regularly checking that your stored payment method remains valid.

Payment methods can be managed via:

Billing > Payment Methods

Can I Still Pay Manually?

Yes.

Even if automatic payments are enabled, you can still log in to the Client Area and manually pay invoices before the due date if you prefer.

Service Renewals and Automatic Payments

Automatic payments help ensure that hosting services, domain names and other recurring services remain active by reducing the risk of invoices being overlooked.

Tip: Keeping a current payment method on file is the easiest way to ensure your services and domain names renew without interruption.

PayPal Subscription Payments

If your services are paid via a PayPal Subscription, payments are controlled by PayPal and not solely through the Snowtech Services Client Area.

Cancelling a service within the Client Area does not automatically cancel an active PayPal Subscription.

If you no longer wish to be billed via PayPal, you must:

  1. Submit a cancellation request for the service through the Snowtech Services Client Area.
  2. Log in to your PayPal account.
  3. Locate the active subscription or automatic payment agreement.
  4. Cancel the subscription directly within PayPal.

Failure to cancel the PayPal Subscription may result in future payments continuing to be collected by PayPal, even if the associated service has been cancelled.

Important: Service cancellations and PayPal Subscription cancellations are separate processes. To prevent future billing, both the service cancellation request and the PayPal Subscription cancellation should be completed.
