How to Install and Connect the Nextcloud App on iPhone or iPad for Snowtech SnowCloud
This guide explains how to install the Nextcloud mobile app on your Apple iPhone or iPad and connect it to the Snowtech SnowCloud service.
SnowCloud allows you to securely access, upload, sync and share your files from anywhere using your mobile device.
Before you begin
You will need:
- Your SnowCloud username
- Your SnowCloud password
- An active internet connection
SnowCloud Server Address:
https://cloud.snowtech.com.au
Step 1: Open the Apple App Store
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the Search icon.
- Search for:
Nextcloud
Look for the official Nextcloud app.
Step 2: Install the Nextcloud App
- Tap Get or the cloud download icon.
- If prompted, confirm using Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple password.
- Wait for the app to install.
Step 3: Open the Nextcloud App
- Open the Nextcloud app.
- When prompted for the server address, enter:
https://cloud.snowtech.com.au
- Tap Log In or Connect.
Step 4: Sign in to SnowCloud
Enter your SnowCloud account details:
- Username: Your SnowCloud username
- Password: Your SnowCloud password
Tap:
Log In
Step 5: Allow permissions
The app may request permission to:
- Access Photos
- Access Files
- Send Notifications
- Use Camera Uploads
Allow the permissions you wish to use.
Enabling photo uploads allows your iPhone photos to automatically back up to SnowCloud.
Using the App
Once connected, you can:
- Browse your files
- Upload documents and photos
- Download files for offline use
- Share files with others
- Automatically upload photos from your device
Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to the server
Make sure the server address is entered exactly as:
https://cloud.snowtech.com.au
Incorrect username or password
Double-check your SnowCloud login credentials.
Uploads are not working
Ensure the Nextcloud app has permission to access Photos and Files in your iPhone settings.
