FAQ

Questions About the MailerLite Module

What does this addon do?

It connects WHMCS client data to MailerLite using the new REST API. It provides subscriber sync, existing-client imports, client-group mappings, custom-field mappings, product tag settings, unsubscribe handling, a webhook test tool and module logs.

Do I need a MailerLite account?

Yes. You need your own MailerLite account and API token. MailerLite account charges and service limits are separate from this Snowtech addon licence.

Which MailerLite API does it use?

This is the MailerLite New API integration. Configure the API token for that platform and follow the module installation guide. Check with support before using a MailerLite Classic account.

Can I import clients who are already in WHMCS?

Yes. Use Import Clients in the Main tab after configuring the API token, default group, mappings and marketing opt-in filter. The built-in guide also describes batched import through a CLI cron script.

Can different client groups go to different lists?

Yes. The Main tab lets you map WHMCS client groups to their MailerLite list/group IDs. A default group can also be set in the addon configuration.

Can I sync custom client fields?

Yes. The Field Mapping tab connects WHMCS custom client fields to MailerLite field keys. For example, a custom language field can be mapped to the corresponding field key in your MailerLite account.

How are product tags configured?

The Product Tags tab lets you enter comma-separated tags against individual WHMCS products. The module guide describes applying them when services activate or orders are paid.

Can I import only clients who opted in?

Yes. Enable Only import opted-in clients in the addon configuration. Check your client marketing preferences before importing and maintain the consent process appropriate to your business.

What happens when someone unsubscribes in MailerLite?

The unsubscribe webhook handling finds the matching WHMCS client and clears its marketing opt-in flag. Configure the webhook according to the module guide, then verify it with a demonstration client.

Does the webhook simulator change a client record?

Yes. It simulates an unsubscribe and can set the matching WHMCS client’s marketing opt-in to off. Use a dedicated test client rather than a live customer when checking the workflow.

Where can I see sync activity or errors?

Open the Logs tab. It shows recorded dates, actions, requests, responses and success results, with an action filter to help narrow your review.

Can I restrict access to the addon?

Yes. The addon configuration includes Access Control, where you choose the WHMCS administrator role groups allowed to use the module.

Does the addon send my email campaigns?

Use MailerLite to create and send your campaigns. This addon connects your WHMCS client information to that account and provides the mapping and sync tools shown on this page.

What do I need before installation?

A self-hosted WHMCS installation, a Snowtech module licence, the required ionCube loader and a MailerLite account with its API token. Follow the module documentation for the PHP, WHMCS and cron requirements of your release.

How do leased and owned licences differ?

Leased pricing is $4.95 AUD per month or $49 AUD per year, with updates while subscribed. An owned licence is $89 AUD as a one-time purchase, including 12 months of updates. Further updates are optional at $29 AUD per year; your licensed version remains usable without renewing updates.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

30-day refund on new licences, excluding installation and custom work.
