Why Am I Not Receiving Emails? 7 Common Fixes
Not receiving emails is frustrating — but the good news is most delivery issues are easy to fix. Here are 7 common reasons (and solutions).
1. MX Records Are Incorrect
Check your MX records. If they’re wrong, emails won’t reach your server.
2. Mailbox Is Full
Clear space or increase your mailbox quota in cPanel.
3. Spam Filters
Sometimes emails are delivered to spam. Check your spam folder and whitelist trusted senders.
4. Email Forwarders
Misconfigured forwarders can block or loop messages. Review your forwarder settings.
5. Blacklist Issues
If your IP is blacklisted, incoming emails may be rejected. Run a blacklist check on your domain or server IP.
6. Firewall or Security Software
Local firewalls or security tools can block mail connections.
7. Server Problems
If all else fails, your hosting provider may be experiencing mail server issues. Contact support for help.
