Solution:
- Verify licence status
- Ensure WHMCS root folder is writable
- Check WHMCS Activity Log
Permission Denied Writing sitemap.xml
Ensure WHMCS can write to the root directory.
If necessary:
chmod 644 sitemap.xml
Or adjust folder ownership carefully.
Sitemap Shows 404
- Confirm file exists in WHMCS root
- Verify .htaccess does not block XML files
- Clear LiteSpeed or NGINX cache
Duplicate URLs Detected
- Check for multiple SEO-friendly URL settings
- Ensure canonical URL configuration in WHMCS
Cron Not Running
- Verify correct file path
- Ensure PHP CLI path is correct
- Check server cron logs
Large Installations (50,000+ URLs)
If you exceed 50,000 URLs:
- Split sitemap into multiple files
- Use sitemap index file
- Increase PHP memory limit
Security Notes
- The sitemap contains public URLs only
- No private client data is exposed
- Always validate public page visibility settings
