FAQ

Questions About the Spam Filter Manager Addon

What does Spam Filter Manager do?

It gives WHMCS administrators a dedicated interface to browse, search, sort and delete records from the WHMCS ticket-import spam-filter list. Each record shows its ID, type and content.

Who is the addon intended for?

WHMCS administrators and support managers who maintain the ticket-import blocked sender list. It is an admin workflow, not a customer mailbox portal.

Which filter records does it manage?

The addon works with existing WHMCS ticket-import spam-filter records, including sender, subject and phrase types. It reads and deletes entries in the core list; it does not create a separate filtering system.

How do search, sorting and pagination work?

Search matches keywords in filter type or content. Click the ID, Type or Content column to sort in ascending or descending order. Choose 25, 50 or 100 records per page and use pagination to browse the results.

Can staff remove a filter record?

Yes. Use Delete on an individual record and confirm the browser prompt. Deletion is permanent and protected by a CSRF token, so review the selected record first. Version 0.0.3 does not provide an add or edit form.

Does removing an entry whitelist the sender everywhere?

No. Removing a WHMCS ticket-import block is separate from mail-server filtering, mailbox allowlists and other security rules. Those systems may still affect the message.

Will it recover previously rejected messages?

The addon maintains blocked sender entries. Removing an entry is not a message-recovery workflow: check the original email and WHMCS import processing separately when investigating an earlier failed ticket.

Does it manage customer mailbox spam settings?

No. The addon manages the WHMCS ticket-import blocked sender list. Mailbox spam settings, quarantines and email delivery remain with your existing mail systems.

Does it replace the WHMCS ticket import system?

No. It provides a more convenient admin interface for maintaining the blocked sender list while WHMCS continues to handle support-ticket import.

Does it provide antivirus scanning or a spam-filtering gateway?

Use your existing mail security platform for message scanning and mail-server filtering. This addon focuses on WHMCS ticket-import blocked sender management.

Do clients manage the blocked list themselves?

No. This is an admin-only sender-list management tool. Clients do not manage the list through the Client Area.

Do staff need to edit the database manually?

No. Staff can review, search and delete filter records from the addon’s admin interface. Existing WHMCS processes continue to maintain the underlying ticket-import filter list.

What does the leased licence cost?

Choose $12 AUD per month or $129 AUD per year. Updates are included while your leased subscription is active.

How does the owned licence and renewal work?

The owned licence is a one-time $199 AUD purchase with 12 months of updates included. An additional 12 months of updates costs $49 AUD. Renewal is optional: you can continue using your licensed version without renewing updates.

What are the installation requirements?

The supplied version 0.0.3 documentation specifies WHMCS 8.13 or later and PHP 8.2 or later. You also need the appropriate ionCube Loader for the supplied package, a valid Snowtech addon licence and admin access. Consult the installation guide for setup and version compatibility.

Can Snowtech help with setup?

Contact Snowtech to discuss installing the addon, confirming admin access and testing the filter search and deletion workflow in your WHMCS environment.
