- Match exact URLs, path prefixes, path globs, query contents, page types or extensions
- Append optional WHMCS-safe audit presets for administrative and system paths
- Client-area/checkout fetching is optional and off by default; independent always-exclude settings can override it

- Choose supported export subsets including all findings, critical findings or orphan/weak-link findings
- Use Logs and Diagnostics for module events, cron batch history and operator-action summaries
- Configure retention days, log row limits and the number of completed audit runs to keep
- Detect queued runs that have made no progress beyond the configured warning threshold
- Use safe-mode recovery controls to force-unlock, clear pending work, retire a stale run or start fresh

FAQ
Questions About the Sitemap & AEO Manager
It generates sitemap.xml for your WHMCS site and provides an admin-only technical audit layer. Audits inspect same-site page signals, classify pages, score findings and provide plain-English recommendations, exports and diagnostic tools.
AEO means Answer Engine Optimisation. The audit checks technical and content-structure signals such as titles, headings, summaries and schema that help you review how clearly pages present their information.
No. It identifies technical signals and opportunities for review. Search indexing, rankings and whether an answer engine cites a page depend on external systems and the quality of your content.
No. The audit and recommendation layer reports findings without rewriting live site content or theme templates. Sitemap generation writes the sitemap file; content and template fixes remain part of your normal editing workflow.
URL discovery covers store, knowledge base, announcements, downloads, MarketConnect content, optional supported blog tables and root PHP pages. Available content depends on your installation and configured exclusions.
The Generate Sitemap action writes sitemap.xml in the WHMCS root, using an atomic temporary-file-and-rename workflow where possible. The Sitemap tab displays its public URL and last generated time.
That is normal when viewing raw XML without a stylesheet. The browser displays the document tree. Use the module’s XML validation and diagnostics to check structure and URLs.
Checks include titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, headings, schema signals, thin-page signals, duplicate titles/metadata and internal-link context. Findings and recommendations should be verified against the page before applying changes.
Yes. The audit reports orphan/weak-link signals to help you review internal linking. Link-check sampling is configurable; findings are a prioritisation aid rather than a replacement for reviewing the site.
The Recommendations tab presents suggestions from the latest run, with severity where available. Examples include adding a meta description or canonical URL, improving title/H1 alignment, adding a summary and reviewing structured data.
Audit scope skips crawling. Sitemap scope omits matching URLs from generated output when Apply exclusion rules to sitemap.xml is enabled. Both applies to both workflows. Sitemap filtering is off by default.
The configuration supports exact URLs, path prefixes, path globs, query contents, page types and extensions. Rules are entered as a JSON array on Exclusions, with optional WHMCS-safe audit presets.
Fetching those routes is optional and off by default. Separate always-exclude client-area and cart/checkout settings can override inclusion. Audit scope and sitemap scope are separate, so configure both to suit the public URLs you want to assess and publish.
Browser Continue scan requests process bounded batches using configured size and time budgets. Daily cron can continue queued work in the background. Maximum URLs per run, crawl timeouts, redirects, response sizes and lock expiry are configurable.
The daily cron processing option continues running audits. A separate Cron: auto-start one audit per day option can start a new run when no running audit has pending URLs, according to its configured behaviour.
The module warns when pending work has made no progress past the configured threshold. Safe-mode recovery provides unlock, clear-pending, retire-run and start-fresh actions. Changing batch settings does not rewrite queues created by older runs; follow the documentation before retiring or clearing work.
Yes. Audit runs can be exported as CSV or JSON, including supported subsets such as all, critical or orphan/weak findings. Settings control module log retention and row limits, cron batch history and the number of completed audit runs to keep.
Check the current release guide for supported WHMCS/PHP versions and ionCube Loader requirements. Generation needs access to the sitemap output location; audits need same-site HTTP connectivity, and background processing needs a functioning WHMCS cron. Addon access can be limited to admin role groups.
Leased pricing is $9.95 AUD per month or $99 AUD per year, with updates while subscribed. The owned licence is a $249 AUD one-time purchase including 12 months of updates. Additional update access is $59 AUD per year.
No. The $59 AUD annual update renewal is optional. You can continue using your licensed version without renewing updates; renewal provides another 12 months of update access.
