FAQ
Questions About the Google Analytics Widget
It brings Google Analytics 4 traffic summaries and Google Search Console query reporting into the WHMCS admin dashboard, with an addon area for configuration, documentation, API tests and licence diagnostics.
Reports appear in the Snowtech GA4 / Search Console admin dashboard widget. Switch between Analytics and Search Console without leaving the WHMCS dashboard; use the addon tabs for setup and troubleshooting.
The supplied Analytics view shows sessions, users, pageviews, new-user percentage, bounce rate, average session duration and pageviews per session, together with a sessions trend and audience breakdowns such as countries and operating systems.
It lists top search queries with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position for the selected reporting period. These are Search Console results for the configured property.
The widget offers Today, Yesterday, Last 7, Last 30 and Last 90 days. Custom start and end dates let you review another period, and the displayed range identifies which dates are applied.
Yes. Addon configuration includes widget height, default tab and default date range. The addon Dashboard and read-only Settings view show the configured values.
It uses a Google service account and a JSON credential file. Enable the required Google APIs, configure the credential path and give that service account access to the selected Analytics and Search Console properties.
Use the numeric GA4 property ID. A measurement ID beginning with G- and an older Universal Analytics UA- tracking ID are different identifiers and should not be used in that field.
Use the exact property available to the service account. A URL-prefix property includes its scheme and hostname, for example https://www.example.com/. A domain property uses the sc-domain:example.com format. Matching the correct property matters for access.
Store it outside the public web directory and enter its full filesystem path in addon configuration. Give the application the access needed to read it. The Dashboard includes a readability status to help check the configured path.
Yes, when using both reports. Add its email to the relevant GA4 property permissions and grant it access to the selected Search Console property. Tools can show the configured service-account email for checking those permissions.
Yes. Use Test API Access from Dashboard quick actions or the Tools tab. The test view reports GA4 and Search Console results separately so you can identify which connection needs attention.
Check that the service-account email has access and that the configured property string exactly matches the intended URL-prefix or domain property. Also confirm that the Search Console API is enabled in the Google Cloud project.
Check the numeric GA4 property ID, service-account access, JSON path, enabled Analytics Data API and selected dates. Confirm that the source website actually has GA4 data, then use the built-in API test to inspect the connection.
These views use reporting data returned by Google APIs; processing delays and the selected dates affect availability. Search Console clicks and Analytics sessions measure different activity and can differ. Treat this as a reporting overview, rather than a real-time visitor feed.
No. It reads data from your configured Google properties. Your website still needs its own appropriate GA4 tracking setup, and Search Console must already have access to the property you want to report on.
It provides a convenient overview inside WHMCS. Use Google Analytics and Search Console directly when you need deeper analysis or property administration beyond the widget views.
Check the current product knowledgebase for supported WHMCS/PHP versions, extensions and any encoding requirements. The module needs Google API connectivity and a readable service-account file. Built-in Docs and Tools cover setup and API testing; Logs provides licence diagnostics.
The leased licence is $4.95 AUD per month or $49 AUD per year, with updates while subscribed. An owned licence costs $129 AUD once and includes 12 months of updates. Further update access costs $29 AUD per year.
The $29 AUD yearly update renewal is optional. You can continue using your licensed version without renewing; renewal provides another 12 months of update access.
